He has experience in Investment Banking at Citigroup in New York and in Private Equity in Miami. Before founding Finanex, he served as CFO of Generation Farms, one of the leading producers of Vidalia onions in the United States, renowned for their distinctive sweet flavor.

Orlany Zapata
Orlany Zapata holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and has more than 18 years of experience in business development, commercial leadership, and business expansion. Over the past 12 years, she has specialized in international trade, supporting the growth of companies involved in cross-border commerce and leading B2B commercial strategies.
For the past three years, she has focused on trade finance, developing financing solutions for exporters and building strategic relationships with companies and financial institutions across Latin America.

Facundo Arce
Facundo Arce holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidad Católica de Córdoba. He is part of Finanex’s operations team, where he is involved in the analysis, structuring, and monitoring of trade finance transactions.
He comes from a family with more than 20 years of experience in international trade, which gave him early exposure to the industry and a strong understanding of trade documentation, operational processes, and risk management.
LEGAL COUNSEL
Lucila del Rocío Bassi
Lucila del Rocío Bassi is a lawyer from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Law at Universidad de San Andrés (UdeSA). She has more than three years of experience advising regional companies and startups across Latin America on corporate law, contracts, and compliance.
At Finanex, she leads the legal management of the company’s operations across multiple jurisdictions, negotiating key commercial agreements and coordinating external counsel to support the company’s growth. Previously, at Cucuru, she managed the end-to-end contract lifecycle for regional business units, serving as the legal liaison between internal stakeholders and external advisors.

Eugenio Mauri
Eugenio Mauri is a Software Engineer from ORT Argentina, with more than 22 years of experience as a software developer and CTO. He leads the development of Finanex’s technology platform, driving its system architecture, integrations, and the use of artificial intelligence to scale trade finance operations.
