In early 2022, we closed a global loan agreement of $250,000 with a seed exporter after our client was rejected by traditional lenders and banks. The client increased their income by 25%. Our client used our financing funds to buy seeds from small independent farmers to meet the growing demand of international clients, mainly driven by the war in Ukraine. Our agile and digital assessment process allowed the client to make timely payments to small farmers.
By increasing the volume of acquisition from small independent farmers, our client reduces farming risks, generating a beneficial social impact in vulnerable rural areas. In addition, seed shipments were directed to countries with food deficits, such as Haiti and Senegal.
